SHANGHAI (Forevermore x CT Ginger Lee) X CODE RED (Issues 'N Answers x Kilkenny Tansy)
Mare foaled 2009. Kai was an only child on the farm the year she was foaled, plus we were in the middle of moving from St. Louis to Florida, so she didn't get the deserved attention most of our foals enjoy. She made her first big travel trip from St. Louis to Lexington, NC to Hollybrook Farm, where Aunt Joyce (Metters) cared for her until late in her two year old year, when she moved to Ocala to start training. She was just getting started in longlines when Jennifer Thomas spotted her and just had to have her. So in the summer of 2011, she boarded a van to Chrislar Farm in Rowley, MA, where Jennifer and her husband picked her up for the final leg to their beautiful farm in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia! Jennifer has been terrific keeping us informed of her progress. Kai is now doing well under saddle and we are thrilled that she has such a wonderful home with our Canadian friends.
A full sibling to WINDEN MAI TAI, 2006 Jubilee Champion Weanling Filly & Reserve Champion Jubilee Futurity Weanling Filly. Very similar to full sister Mai Tai, this is a proven cross and this colt is an athlete from top to bottom. He is now learning his PDQs under the tutalage of Abby Jones and we hope to see him in the ring someday!
SHANGHAI (Forevermore x CT Ginger Lee) X KEW SOVEREIGN (Waseeka's Moonshot x UVM Treasure)
Mare 2005. This stunning young mare is even more beautiful than her full brother, WINDEN REIGN. Upheaded, very animated and her dam's exquisite head, she has everything I ever asked for and is big to boot. With the bottom line on this filly, a future in breeding would not be out of the question. Bali has a BIG motor and knows how to use it. In my opinion, she is one of the very best fillies I have ever bred. Bali is now at home in Nebraska with my friends the Stoddards at Aestival Morgans, who have bred some very nice family Morgans and happen to now own her dam, KEW Sovereign. They are enjoying her and I await an update!
Filly foaled July 2, 2005. UP-HYRE TE-N-TE is a full brother to the dam of World Champion Minion Masquerade, and also the sire of Up-Hyre Jewel of the Nile (dam of World Champions Tolstoy and Foolish Games). This stunning young mare is a full sibling to Luminaria, Another Story and The Gift. A proven cross that produces ambition, ability and that ethereal beauty that is found in the classic Morgan look. She is a dark chestnut with a light mane and tail. She is perhaps the best foal from this cross produced to date, and I was pleased to sell her to a longtime Morgan owner and admirer, Mr. Ken Middleton of Oak Ridge, Missouri, who has owned Morgans for several decades. "Fiona" is Ken's first Morgan purchase in over 20 years! (Sad to say we recently heard that Finery was lost to colic in 2009...)

2006 Jubilee Regional Weanling Filly Winner
2006 Jubilee Futurity Weanling Filly Reserve Champion
Mare foaled March 27, 2006. "Maia" is the first foal out of Bea, our last daughter of the wonderful Nemours Sunny Beam (Beamington x Trophy's Karat, by Trophy). We knew she was special the moment she arrived, and she continued to bloom all year. Jay Kleiber first saw a photograph of her in August and immediately responded "WHO'S THAT?", which began the steps that culminated in Jay and his partner, Julie Ouska of Ridgewood Farm in Elizabeth, Colorado finally purchasing Maia just before her show ring debut. Maia has since changed hands and now resides in New Mexico with Victoria Markley and Brian Berry. Click on Maia's photo to see her photo gallery.

Mare foaled 2000. In line for replacing her dam as a grand producer, LUMINARIA made her debut in 2000 and continued to accumulate wins until her four year old year, when she was turned out due to time commitments to other horses. Jeff and Luan-i Jackson of Hidden Dragon Morgans in Choctaw, Oklahoma discovered Lulu on our website and purchased her to become a foundation for Morgans in Luan-i's home country of Taiwan, where her family will be building an equine facility in the near future. Meanwhile, Jeff and Luan-i have started Lulu on her breeding career. Her first foal by World Champion MAN IN MOTION is a very talented 2011 filly, currently in training at Brian Hadley Stables.

1993 Gelding. "Seemore" was the second of this cross and started out co-owned by Renee Page and Tami Johnson. After nearly cutting off his leg in a pasture accident as a coming yearling, he came back to grow into a beautiful horse with a very regal air about him. Tami became sole owner during Seemore's three year old year, and enjoyed showing him in hand and harness before sending him home with John Hufferd of Triumph Stables to prepare for the Grand National. While he was visiting "Camp Hufferd", John's brother Kurt (trainer at Indian Creek Farm) discovered Seemore and thought he would be an ideal horse for Mr. Quilhot when his junior days were behind him. The Quilhots then purchased Seemore during the Grand National.
After showing two seasons under the Indian Creek banner, John arranged to have Seemore move back to Triumph Stables by orchestrating the sale of this wonderful horse to a charming young girl by the name of Katie Lucas, who lives in Carmel, Indiana. Katie and Seemore debuted together in 1998, winning a few junior exhibitor park saddle classes and just getting to know each other. Belle, John's wife, managed to sneak in a few exciting rides on Seemore for herself in the ladies division. In 1999, Seemore and Katie were triumphant in the Junior Exhibitor Park Harness and Park Saddle classes at the Indiana Classic as well as Mid A Regional. At the 1999 Grand National in Oklahoma City in October, they did very well ending up Reserve World Champions to the many time winner Hyland Acres Command in the Jr. Exhibitor Park Harness division.
Now under the ownership of Tami's alma mater, William Woods University, "Seemore" is visiting the east coast where he and his young partner Brianna have been winning good ribbons in some very large Walk-Trot classes under the direction of Susan Allen at Rice Village Equestrian Center in Barre, Massachusetts. Pictured below are Briana and Seemore.
1996 Mare. A full sister to Another World and Noteworthy, among others, "Mora" captured the eye of Jennifer Weske Monroe of MEMC Morgans in Texas and left for her new home in March 1999. She was a Texan for only a month and was then sold to Sue White of Pinehaven Farm in Virginia. Mora was purchased by Jacki Moehling and in 2002, who bred her and she produced a lovely bay filly by White Christmas, sired by World Champion Christmas Hymn.
Unfortunately, Mora contracted EPM during her time in Virginia and the consequent neurological effects were too much for her last owner to handle. She was given to a horse rescue organization who refused to allow us to purchase Mora as a broodmare, so she is essentially lost to the Morgan breed. Hopefully, her newly adopted owner will appreciate her for her lovely Morgan characteristics and personality and she will live a full and happy life.
1998 Mare. As a yearling, "Suzi" was Reserve Junior Champion Mare at the Indiana Classic Morgan Show. In 2000, she won halter classes at the Autumnfest Show and the Brunk Museum show. She is a full sister to Another Story and Luminaria.
Sold to Jennifer Taylor of Hanover, Massachusetts early in her three year old year, Jennifer and "Suzi" have been showing a bit on the east coast and have these results to report:

1997 Mare. Sold in May of 1999 as a two year old to Mr. Leighton Zenge of Canton, Missouri, "Cricket" was his first Morgan and his first horse in nearly 50 years. We were thrilled that he chose this nice young mare. Cricket spent her life with Leighton under the direction of Julie Ingram in Quincy, Illinois so that Leighton would never be far from his pretty mare. Pictured above is Cricket with her catch-driver, Darlene Wise, winning a very good 2nd place ribbon in the Classic Pleasure Driving at the 2000 Midwest Charity Horse Show in Springfield, Illinois over a good field of 9 horses. Tami and Cricket were reunited at the 2000 Grand National, where she was 3rd in the World Futurity Classic Pleasure Driving. Cricket ended the year as the Illinois Horse and Pony Breeders (IHPBEA) High point Junior Pleasure Driving Horse.
Cricket and Julie have also excelled in the fine art of dressage. Her numerous championships at both Morgan and Open dressage shows kept her owner cheering for her on the sidelines. We were saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Zenge in December of 2006, but his friends tell us that Cricket was the light of his life and gave him a reason to keep on ticking. We know he is enjoying the horse show in Heaven! Thankfully, he left Cricket to his longtime friend and trainer, Julie Ingram, who continued to successfully campaign her in dressage and hunter pleasure for several years after Leighton's death.
Geisha was one of those horses who was "born trained", and was been easy to bring along from the very beginning. She is a people-loving horse and craves attention. Petite in size, she qualifies as a pony and is very handy over fences. My cousin and her daughter took her to Pompano Beach for a year and showed her in short stirrups and eventually low jumpers and did very well against some tough competition in the Wellington area. The girls adored her and she even went to the lake for a playday! She found her forever home with Alena Nicholson in Tennessee and is enjoying being a very versatile Morgan mare!
Gelding foaled 2008. I had always loved Dutchess and had headed Phil Fountain many times when he showed her in harness. Since Shanghai seemed to be crossing well with my own daughter of Issues 'n Answers, I jumped at the chance to lease Dutchess from Ridgewood Morgans in 2007. The result was this wonderful, personable gelding who was the 2008 Jubilee Futurity Grand Champion Weanling, Jubilee Regional Reserve Junior Champion Stallion and winner of the Weanling Colt class. He grew into a big, handsome horse who had quite the talent for jumping and impressed many of the evening and jumping people here in Ocala who came to see him. Dawn Skelton did a great job of finishing his training for me, teaching him to enjoy trail riding, water, natural log jumps and making him a great citizen for anyone to ride. I also started him in harness (easy as pie) myself. My good friend and carriage trainer extraordinaire, Jeff Morse from Green Meads Farm, thought of Revvy when his clients Sally Ann and Al Geraldi were looking for their next horse. Revvy and Sally Ann enjoyed the trails for oer a year before he found a forever home with a lovely woman in NY who was searching for the perfect horse to enjoy on her large farm.
Gelding foaled 2010. A full brother to Jubilee Regional Weanling Champion WINDEN MAI TAI and WINDEN SAIGON, this big, handsome gelding is very athletic and long necked and we are excited to see the consistency of this cross. He caught the eye of Meagan Ferrance in Shelbyville, KY late last summer and jumped right into the show ring in the fall, much to Meagan's delight. He has twice been named Grand Champion Morgan Gelding at the Morab National Horse Show in Lexington, KY, a USEF A show. He has also been cleaning up at several local open shows, promoting the Morgan everywhere he goes! He finished the year as the 2011 USEF Regional 3 Reserve In Hand Morgan of the Year! Congratulations to Meagan and Tai!
Gelding foaled April 21, 2004. This big, beautiful gelding started out with a bang as the 2004 Jubilee Regional Weanling Colt Champion and Jubilee Futurity Weanling Colt Champion. Unfortunately, his next owners did not see the potential in him that we do. Reign is a BIG guy (now 15.3) with a lot of stamina and go-forward attitude, a beautiful head and eye, upright neckset and a wonderful, smooth body. His size and athletic ability caught the eye of Linda Nelson in Tallahassee, FL, who was looking for a new partner for the dressage ring.
SHANGHAI (Forevermore x CT Ginger Lee) X ARDUN'S ELVIRA (Figure's Falcon x Camille Centaurus) Click on Falada's name to see an extended pedigree.
Mare foaled July 12, 2006. This filly is very special and knows it. She is ALL MORGAN, head to tail, with type that is undeniable. Lots of go-forward, very upheaded and prances everywhere she goes. She can outmove the boys, always is ready to put on a horse show. She is also very inquisitive and affectionate. It would be hard to find another with her incredible, classic and old government breeding. Her dam, Elvira, was extremely linebred to Mansfield, nearly 100% government with a motor that never quit and a very natural, park-type motion. Falada is very elegant, carries herself like a princess and looks like the type of filly to build a serious breeding program upon. We were thrilled that "Millie" attracted the attention of Alison D. Egan of Norman, Oklahoma and became Alison's very first Morgan. Alison grew up under the watchful eye of the Irvine Family of Morningside Farm in Wisconsin, so she is no newcomer to Morgans. Alison and Millie returned to Wisconsin and at the 2009 Morgan Masterpiece Show, Millie took home Two Year Old Pleasure Driving Champion honors! Click on Millie's photo above to see her photo gallery. Alison has since sold Millie and I am awaiting an update on her new home.
SHANGHAI (Forevermore x CT Ginger Lee) X ESSEX ARIA (Black River Leo x Essex Reata Darling)* Click on Wing's name to see an extended pedigree.
Gelding foaled April 27, 2005. "Wings" is the first foal out of Aria, a lovely mare who was a Regional Grand Champion in hand and has three crosses to the great producing mare, Polly Forrest. His intelligence and trainability impressed Jeanine Key of Troy, MO, who chose him to be her first horse to train "from scratch". He has been winning fans since he moved to his new home in the summer of 2006. Wings has been selling people on Morgans since he and Jeanine hooked up, and is pictured below making his annual appearance at the Lewis & Clark reinactment and celebration on the banks of the Mississippi River in Old St. Charles, MO.
Mare foaled 2002. This lovely young mare was my last foal by the great sire, Forevermore. She is bred in the purple and has spent the last three years running and playing and growing up in the pasture. In the spring of 2005, Dr. Kimberly Caruso DVM of Rancho Santa Fe, California spotted Happy on our website and decided she needed to move to the West Coast! Happy and Kim met in person in Oklahoma City that fall.
2004 Brown Colt. This beautiful and extremely talented brown colt with two hind socks captured the attention of Sandy Koehler of Santa Rosa, California the moment he arrived. Sandy was able to purchase him before weaning and he will be making his way westward sometime this spring. She is planning to show him in the futurities and perhaps use him for breeding in the future.
"Zen" succombed to a tragic and fatal aneurism in early May 2005.

1994 Gelding. "Rowdy" was the fourth of this cross and was actually bred by Renee Page, as Renee leased Ginger every other year. After Seemore had been sold to the Quilhots, Tami needed a replacement show horse and Rowdy was just the ticket. So he was bought back from Renee.
Tami worked Rowdy at home all year and with the help of trainer friend John Hufferd, he became the Jubilee Regional Junior Champion Gelding and was reserve in the Futurity Two Year Old In Hand class. This team went to the Grand National that fall and cleaned up in hand, and John's brother Kurt Hufferd convinced his client Cheryl Peterson to purchase Rowdy as a prospect later that fall. It wasn't until 1998 that Rowdy really began to come into his own both under saddle and in harness, and Kurt enjoyed a winning season with him ending with a Reserve World Champion title.
Purchased by Judy Kjellander of Springfield, Illinois in 1999, Noteworthy captured the Gentlemens Pleasure Driving with Judy's son Rob Kjellander and the Ladies Pleasure Driving with Judy at the 1999 Dixie Cup Classic. They also claimed the Pleasure Driving Championship at the Midwest Charity, and Rowdy was Grand Champion Gelding at the Jubilee Regional.
Purchased in early 2001 by Lexie Bastian, under the direction of trainer David Torrey of Figure Horse Training Stables, Lexie and Rowdy won all over the west coast before being crowned Reserve World Champions in Oklahoma City that fall.
In 2002, Lexy shared Rowdy with Terry Jones Brennan and this team cleaned up in the Classic Division in both saddle and harness. They culminated their year in Oklahoma City with the title of World Champion Ladies Classic Pleasure Driving, Grand National Champion Ladies Classic Pleasure Driving Gelding and Grand National Champion Classic Pleasure Saddle Stallions & Geldings under 15.1h.
Rowdy is now owned by the Fredette Family in Massachusetts and is retired after winning in the Classic Pleasure division with the Fredette daughters all over the east coast!
1993 Mare. "Amelie" was sold as a coming two year old to Cindy Mugnier, who sold her a few months later to the group that became the Accel Partnership. After having three very nice foals by the ill fated FCF Rythmn Nation, she was sold to Brad and Dawn Fire of Peeper Ranch in Lenexa, KS, who also happened to buy a yearling colt by him and out of Amelie a year earlier. Although this nice colt began a promising career as Grand Champion Stallion at the Circle J Regional as a two year old, he has unfortunately been tangled up in the mess that cost over 50 said-to-be Morgans their papers.
The Fires have since bred this wonderful producer to the World Champion sire Salem Command (Noble Command x Ru-Lee Mystique), and she produced a stunning black 2003 colt named MIRAMAX (see below). This youngster has already been winning in hand and harness and was the 2005 World Champion Junior Gelding.
In 2004, Amelie produced an outstanding colt by Liberation First Star. He will be sure to turn heads in the future. Her 2005 offspring is a very nice colt by MEM Turn Up The Heat.
Pictured above is World Champion MIRAMAX, out of Only Forever, bred by Peeper Ranch.
In 2010, long time Morgan breeder, judge and artist Nancy Eidam of Crown Morgans acquired Only Forever, and we are thrilled that she now has a forever home in the pacific northwest with a true Morgan devotee. "Amelie" produced three foals for Nancy: Crown Constellation (2010 gelding by Supernova), Crown Luv Forever (2012 mare by Crown Superlative), and Crown Justaluv (2013 mare by Crown Superlative).
2nd English Pleasure Maiden under 15h
3rd English Pleasure Novice under 15h
1997 Gelding. "Flame" was bred by Renee Page, but is out of my good producing mare, CT Ginger Lee (foaled on one of Renee's years to lease her). After a few months in training with John Hufferd of Triumph Stables, Flame returned home. Tami took him home, gelded him, started him under saddle and then sold him to first-time Morgan owners, Scot & Carol Tolman of Shooting Star Farm, Spofford, NH for their daughter Michaela. The new duo has been getting along famously and has been instrumental in causing the "potato chip syndrome" to take full control of poor Scot, who now owns three more Morgans and can't seem to stay away from morganshowcase.com.
Michaela has been showing "Rico" in the competitive Jr. Exhibitor Hunter Pleasure division in New England and getting rave reviews.
